Tangled Light, pastel, 12x9. Started plein air at Domenico Farm this week and finished in the studio. This will be part of a group show Capturing Domenico Farm to be held in Lafayette, CO this summer. I am enjoying quiet January studio time to reflect on pieces started plein air but still calling for a bit more. Reflection, for me, is mostly about whether the painting conveys the feelings and story of the place. This was a day of brisk, icy wind and bright sunshine. The sheltered tangle where the two meet was what captured my attention.
